Uzakara is a retail and cultural brand operated by Hasan Dogu Taskiran (trading as Uzakara). We respect your privacy and aim to collect only the information needed to serve you, operate the store and communicate with you on your instructions. Information we collect

When you browse, make an inquiry, create an account or place an order, we may receive your name, email, billing and delivery addresses, phone number, ordered items, order history, correspondence and essential technical information such as IP address and security logs. We use WooCommerce to manage orders and customer accounts. We do not intentionally request full payment card numbers through our website.

Why we process it

We use this information to manage orders, calculate available shipping and taxes, communicate about purchases, process refunds, prevent abuse, comply with applicable accounting and legal requirements, and support customers. These uses arise from a purchase contract, legal obligations or legitimate operational interests where permitted. We send promotional email only when you choose to subscribe or otherwise give valid permission.

Payments, shipping and service providers

Where enabled, checkout payments are processed by Stripe and its connected payment partners. Stripe may handle payment details and fraud checks under its own notices. Delivery providers receive the minimum address and shipment information needed for delivery. WordPress, WooCommerce, our hosting and email-delivery providers process relevant information in running this store. Data may be processed or stored in countries outside your own, subject to applicable safeguards.

Newsletter and consent

Uzakara’s optional email newsletter uses a WordPress subscription service. When you sign up, we collect your email address and subscription preferences and send an email asking you to confirm. We do not add customers to marketing lists solely because they buy something. Every marketing email should provide an unsubscribe link. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

Cookies and similar technologies

Retention and security

We keep order records as needed to fulfil purchases, handle complaints, prevent fraud and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Newsletter information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, subject to legal exceptions. We use appropriate access controls and provider security measures; no internet service can promise perfect security.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information, object to or limit certain processing, withdraw marketing consent, and make a privacy complaint. To exercise a right, email support@uzakara.com; we may need to verify identity first. Local laws may also give you the right to contact your privacy regulator.

Children and updates

We do not direct marketing or deliberately collect personal details from children. We may update this notice as services or legal duties change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
